Ocean World Lines is a neutral NVOCC (Non vessel operating common carrier) transporting containers and nearly every other kind of cargo (out of gauge goods, RO/RO and project cargo) including refrigerated products.

The main customers of Ocean World Lines in general are small and medium sized shippers and forwarders with small quantities of shipments. We take care of them to an incomparable extent.
Obviously we also serve big shippers, of course, we used to carry the containerised export volume of German car makers and for other big accounts which shows that the OWL organization is capable of servicing big customers on a “just in time” basis too.

Shipping with Ocean World Lines offers a lot of advantages our customers:
Neutral carrier position:Ocean World Lines is a neutral carrier. A big percentage of our customers are small and medium sized forwarders who very much depend on the fact that Ocean World Lines does not make any use of the real names of the shippers and consignees.

2. No volume commitments:Our customers do not have to come up with any commitment on volumes to be shipped. Normally when asking carriers for freight rates only tariff rates are quoted, which are by far too high. In order to get better rates, the shippers can sign service contracts for shipments to and from USA, but there are minimum volume commitments involved, which have to be fulfilled. In case that is not possible, steamship lines charge liquidated damages for the quantities that are not shipped. Ocean World Lines quotes good rates without volume commitments and so the customer does not run risks for liquidated damage payment.

3. Big array of lines: Ocean World Lines holds contracts to and from USA with 16 different steamship lines allowing us to offer nearly any service at very good rates. Only very few big shippers are able to sign up for such a variety of services, but they are faced with the administration and the risks for all of these contracts.

4. Shippers delegate the work to OWL and work on the next business: The shippers of Ocean World Lines can leave the difficulties of a shipment with us, that means our customer service will find containers in the inland with one of the carriers we work with, do the positioning of the boxes at any inland point and arrange for the transport to and from the port. Our customers are saving a lot of time and money and can turn already to the next business.

5. Space guarantee in “tight times”:Due to the buying power of Ocean World Lines, our customers have the advantage of having access to ship space at all times of the year. Even when the vessels are pretty much full, we still get space to ship the cargo of our customers.

6. One stop shopping: Ocean World Lines offers a perfect one stop shopping to the customers. Shipments can be done to nearly all destinations of the world, we arrange for customs clearance through sub- contractors etc.

7. Access to railroad and truckers in Saxby being part of the Pacer group of companies in USA, Ocean World Lines gives access to the large railroad network of the Pacer group, to truckers, special load movers, warehouses and full into the shelf logistics in USA.
